Petra Casén is based in south west London. She is a versatile artist and teacher, equally at home in repertoire of the Baroque era as in Classical, Romantic and 20th century repertoire.
As a solo recitalist she is known for her imaginative and engaging programmes in which she likes to juxtapose familiar works with the less familiar. She is also an experienced and sought after chamber musician, accompanist and teacher.
Besides giving recital and concerto performances Petra Casén is interested in the other performing and visual arts and she has worked in the theatre as well as with dancers and she composed piano music for the film ‘Burlesque Fairy Tales’ in 2008. She has also developed a series of illustrated concert talks on Russian Music and Art in collaboration with Historian/Archaeologist Dr Nick Slope.
